I was in the middle of my quiet time with God, when suddenly, a thought came into my mind, saying: I don’t belong here. I know, it does sound unpleasant and “emo”, but believe it or not, it is true, and God has ways in making those four emo words a good news.

You see, April is not really the best month for me so far. I was really bombarded with worries and all other problems and it even came to a point that I’ve questioned my own faith to God. As a believer of Christ and someone who’s handling a ministry, questioning your own faith is a big “no-no” on so many levels. Faith is something that should be ‘fixed’, no matter what. Good thing, God sent me a big news in bold letters — I don’t belong here!

Wait… How’s that even a good news? Well, here:

Are you familiar with the feeling of having to stay at hotels or someone else’s house? No matter how huge the place is, still, your own home is the most comfortable place to do everything. Same thing with us, this world isn’t our home, so it’s healthy to experience discomfort once in a while. It’s fine to be distressed and experience inconvenience, for we don’t really belong here. Also, to be rejected is normal. But the real good news is, there’s a place that awaits for us where we can experience 100% comfort. A place full of joy, and where our loving Father lives. Always remember that this world is just a stop to where we are really heading. And another thing… God also has ways in letting us overcome everything we experience in this world, written on 1 John 5:4… it is through our faith and of course, His amazing grace. :)

The Perks of being a Commuter

Well, to summarize this post: I love commuting. It’s always an eventful day whenever I do so, especially when I am alone. Though actually at first, I used to hate the idea of walking at the sidewalk, transferring from one jeepney to another, jammed people inside the trike/jeep, and everything about commuting, but since I had to do those things almost everyday, I’m starting to get used to it until the day I realized that I’m already finding the joy of commuting. Yaay

While some modern commuters are fixated on their phone or ipad, I’ll be somewhere inside the jeep/bus listening to music and watch the world literally passed by me, and I tell you, it’s quite meditating. I see a lot of people and wonder where are they heading, observe those who’ll do the “sign of the cross” while passing by a church, I see houses and wonder how does it feel if I, myself live in there, and things like that makes me feel like It’s somewhat a relaxation for the mind beside of sleeping.

And of course, the best thing is that I got to write a LOT of random things on my mental blog about the cocktail of humanity. ;)

March 30, 2013 - Super Late Post (I only had the mood to upload them today Haha.)

It has been a tradition that every time my mom is here for vacation, we always set aside a day for us to go somewhere with the most comfortable clothes and shoes for walking, bag packs, and a camera. Well, this is how bag-packing 2013 went:

First stop was at Greenhills. We went there to shop for pasalubongs for my mom’s friends at Oman. You know naman how this place can offer you lovely bags, clothes, etc at an affordable price.
And oh, I forgot to mention that we’d got off carrying the same porma — mustache shirt, shorts (well, tokong for me cos I’m just that conservative heehee), and walking shoes. Idk with my mom, but she really bought us those shirts for that special day. Cute and sweet noh. =))
After that, went to MOA because we love the sea-side.
While having a coffee, we saw some Tumblr people giving out free hugs. :)
Watched the fireworks display while enjoying the yummy guyabano shake.
Had the most colorful seafood dinner ever.
Then walked again, and we went home.

Well, actually, this day was really more on walking and taking pictures so I just summed it up into seven bullets. It’s always the best date ever when I’m with them. <3

An old GPOY for Tuesday

I wasn’t wearing thick glasses but I still got a nerdy attitude, shy and I didn’t mind about the kind of relationship I have with my own hair. I was generally a carefree and not the fancy-schmancy one. Hello folks, that was me 6 years ago. Haha, I just can’t believe that I really have changed a lot. Wala lang, this photo made me realized that growing up is such a bitter-sweet thing. You see, childhood is the time when a cute stationery is a big deal but look at me now, real papers and application forms are one of my top priorities.

Ahhh, Here’s to the new life I’m about to face a few months from now. Cheers.

PETIKS WEEK!

It feels good to be finally free from all the school works and to live without stressing out every once in a while. HELLO STARSHINE! THE EARTH SAYS HELLO!

Well, everyone must have been taking this as a “goody good” stuff to hear, but not really for us seniors. It is a bittersweet relaxation and you guys know why. We have less than a week and we’re on our own. But for now, we are just eating and breathing everything out. Now, Here are just some random photos of me with my friends eating ramen, a photoset with Jajamon, and pretty classmates.

Finals & final defense are finally done! :D They both went well.

A fellowship on the 27th with the Youth department. See you guys there!

February Realizations

Being physically tired is way better than being emotionally and spiritually stressed.
Valentines day realization: I’m happy even if I did not receive any flowers or chocolates. I’m still happy even if I don’t have any guys liking/courting me. I’m happy that I am single. I’m happy because I’m still young and will definitely experience those things at the right time. :) I am too young to talk about love and cheesy stuff.
I have awesome friends and classmates. :) Also including my batchmates, they’re all amazing.
I have to start being responsible.
Kaylangan kong itigil ang pagsasarili ng problema. It is hard to reach your breaking point alone, It is good to share your problems to other people whom you really trust.
Nakakaumay ang siopao pag laging nakikita. Haha. :D

Are you the kind of person who rewards yourself for having things accomplished? Well, ‘cos I am. :) I got hit by a motorcycle a few weeks ago and fractured a bone so I had to wear a splint. And just yesterday, after weeks of hardships in everything(taking a bath, eating, typing, etc), my left arm’s finally free!! So, happy independence day for my left arm. I had to reward my self a me-time and explore the outernet because I deserve a break. We all do. :)

A hang-out with my favorite coffee and a blueberry cheesecake while writing a lesson plan and a movie review. Some Bollywood music was playing in the background so I got motivated to also write the bajillion thoughts I have in my mind. Hehe.

Left arm says hi! :)

Also bought some body care stuff to get myself a little pampered—Hairbrush because I need a new one, back scrub because I also bought a lovely-smelling Kiwi body wash, strawberry yogurt face mask because it smells yummy, and a pair of sunglasses because they’re pretty. Hehe. :D

I’m a happy girl now.☺
